Guidance Residential is proud to be a sponsor of the 2024 AMJA National Imams’ conference where leading scholars and experts will converge to explore contemporary issues in our communities.
This year’s conference will be on September 27-29 in Houston, Texas.
What Is the AMJA Conference?
The AMJA conference is an annual gathering where community leaders gather to share insights on the application of Islamic principles in modern contexts.
Imams and religious leaders are the ones who American Muslims look to for guidance as they navigate the world around them. They expect their Imam to understand Islamic sources but also the Western contexts in which they are living.
This led AMJA to launch its annual Imams Conference. Each year, Imams and community leaders gather to discuss issues their communities are facing. Together they research, analyze, and come up with solutions for American Muslims.
What Is the Theme?
This year’s theme is “Fiqh Responses to Challenges Facing Muslim Families in the West.” Topics focus on a wide variety of issues relating to marriage.
Registration
Imams are invited to register and join AMJA and Guidance Residential at this special event. Admission and hotel accommodations are usually subsidized, so admission is limited to AMJA 150 Imams per year on a first come first served basis.
